What is the ROI (Return on Investment) of FinishLine?

Our current customers all reached a 100% return on investment before they were half way through the punch process of their first project. Since subsequent projects are licensed at a significant discount, the ROI is even sooner.

Each of our current customers has licensed subsequent projects and refer to the adoption of FinishLine as a “no-brainer”. When used by other members of the development team, Architects, Construction Managers and the Developer, the ROI is even sooner.

Is the equipment used by FinishLine only available through you?

No.  FinishLine Software will operate, in the field, for inspection, on any Touch Screen Tablet PC running Windows XP Tablet or Windows 7 and a standard browser. It will also work for reporting or on-line data entry on any PC or MAC running standard browser software. Active3DB will be happy to quote you for equipment, as a service to you.

What is required to operate FinishLine?

FinishLine will operate, in the field for inspection, on any Touch Screen Tablet PC running Windows XP Tablet or Windows 7 and a standard browser. It will also work for reporting or on-line entry on any PC or MAC running standard browser software. Since it is a Web Application, an Internet Connection is required. However..... (see below)

Do I have to have an Internet connection in the Field for FinishLine to work?

No.  FinishLine operates in two modes. On-Line and Stand Alone. In the On-Line mode there are no requirements other than those stated above. In Stand-Alone mode, industry standard software by Adobe systems, Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR), is installed on your Tablet PC. Before field inspection you connect to the Internet and synchronize and when you return to a location with Internet access you synchronize again. This process takes from 10 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the amount of inspection between synchronization. We highly recommend synchronizing as often as possible as other parties may have added or edited information in the field or at the office and it is important to keep everyone on the same page.

Do I have to purchase a license or “seat” for every user?

Absolutely NOT. FinishLine is licensed “Per Project”.   You can have as many users on the system as you would like.  In fact, we encourage a “single punch list” model for the project by including the architect, developer and others as a part of the FinishLine process. 

Do I have to buy a FinishLine license for each project?

Yes. Each project requires separate project space on our servers and initial setup and ongoing support by our technical support staff, therefore we create a separate license for each project.

However, subsequent projects are licensed at a significant discount. Since FinishLine saves so much time and effort in the overall Punch List management process, the decision to use FinishLine is easy.  FinishLine actually decreases the overall cost of the project and significantly enhances the ability of the development team to bring the project across the FinishLine sooner and with less effort and confusion and therefore less cost.
